"I am Managing Director of an independent Recruitment Organisation (AC 1 Recruitment Ltd) based in St Austell and Camborne. During 2008 I introduced an Outplacement Service to the business. This is a service aimed at getting redundant personnel back to work as soon as possible. I needed to get the message across to businesses throughout the country quickly and, as a member of the Business League, I decided to use this as my platform.
The Business League is a group of businesses based in the South West of England. Groups are based in major towns throughout the area. Each group meets weekly and members are given the opportunity to make presentations to the other members. This meant I could get my message across to between 6 and 15 members at each venue, the venues being Penzance, Redruth, Falmouth, Truro, Newquay, St Austell, Bodmin, Liskeard, Launceston, Saltash and Plymouth.
In order to complete this project I hired the services of Katherine Ogg at Simply Time. Katherine's company is able to complete your to-do lists when you don't have the resources to dedicate to this type of time-consuming exercise.
I simply gave Katherine the Business League website address and the times the presentation would be ready. Within 2 weeks the planning of the project was in place. Katherine had contacted each Club Secretary, explained who I was and what I wanted to do, took suggested dates from them, offered the dates to me for approval, replied to each club with an email of time, date and presentation content then put together a diary for me. She even clarified whether or not there was a screen in place for the presentation.
During these presentations several BL members enquired about the general services of AC 1 Recruitment Ltd. Upon completion of this first project I immediately contacted Simply Time again to organise this 2nd phase of presentations and again, Katherine produced a faultless programme.
Both projects were completed on time, efficiently and effectively. As a result of the projects I obtained several positive referrals for the business.
